20" Paiste Color Sound 900 Black Heavy Ride Cymbal

Product Description

The Color Sound 900 Black Heavy Ride from Paiste is a 20" ride cymbal finished in black, built on the same foundation as the regular 900 Series but with a color coating that gives it a slightly darker, more controlled sound. The cymbal is machine-made in its first stage and finished with hand-hammering, and it works equally well on stage and in the studio, across all genres.

• Warm, full and dynamic sound
• Pinging attack with lively intensity
• Separated bell for a distinct contrast between bell and body
• Volume from medium to very loud
• Machine-made base, hand-hammered finish
• Color coating gives a darker, more controlled sound than the standard 900 Series

Sound and feel

The alloy is CuSn20, the same bronze alloy used throughout the 900 Series. The weight is in the heavy class, giving the cymbal a clear push and making it suited to medium through very loud volumes. The bell is separated from the body, giving you a distinct bell sound alongside the warm, full core tone.

The color series

Color Sound 900 is available in four bold colors, and this version is black. The color coating isn't just cosmetic, it contributes to the darker, more controlled sound compared to the uncoated 900 Series.

Who It's For

A good choice if you want a ride with real character, a cymbal that's as visible as it is audible, for live and studio use across all musical contexts.
