The Meinl Classics Custom Dark 20" Crash (CC20DAC) is a crash cymbal made from B10 bronze that has gone through a special heat treatment – giving it both its dark look and its distinctive sound. The result is a fast, bright attack combined with a dark, full low end that works across several genres.

The cymbal is cast from a B10 alloy (90% copper, 10% tin) and produced using a Hi-Tech, computer-controlled process for consistent quality. The special heat treatment formula gives the cymbal both its unique dark appearance and its particular sound. The extra hammering adds to a fuller low end compared to a standard crash in its class.

Sound Character

The attack is fast and bright with a clear shimmer, while the low end is darker, giving the cymbal more body. Pitch sits in the medium-high range. Sustain is medium and trails off with a distinct sparkle-like decay. Volume is medium but with a brilliant, present quality to the tone.
