Evans Calftone is the synthetic alternative to traditional calfskin heads – giving you the beautiful look and warm tone of a natural head, combined with the reliability and fit of a modern Evans 360 head. This head works both as a batter head and a resonant head on the bass drum.
Calftone is made from 12 mil mylar blended with a unique material to achieve the warmth and clear tone associated with genuine calfskin. The result is a head that gives you the best of vintage heads, without the drawbacks of natural skin – such as sensitivity to humidity and inconsistent tuning.
Sound Character
