Sound Character

The Pure Crash series is built to sound already "played in" straight out of the box. Despite the dry, controlled tone, the cymbal retains a nice dynamic sing that keeps it versatile across musical settings.

Craftsmanship

The Byzance series is made at Meinl's Turkish factory using traditional craftsmanship. Each cymbal is cast from a B20 alloy, then heated, rolled and cooled according to a carefully tested schedule until the correct thickness is reached. The bell is shaped before hand hammering gives the cymbal its final form and character. The raw cymbals are then sent to Meinl's German factory for quality control, sorting and finishing.
