20" Paiste 2002 Medium Cymbal

Product Description

Paiste 2002 Medium is one of the most iconic cymbal series in rock history, in production since 1971 and still a natural choice for many drummers. This 20" model is cast in the CuSn8 alloy ("2002 Bronze") and delivers a bright, powerful sound with high energy and strong projection. A cymbal that cuts through even on a loud stage.

Sound Character

The tone is described as brilliant, clear, warm and strong, with a musical and highly precise character. The attack is fairly washy and the intensity lively, giving a cymbal that feels alive to play. The bell is integrated into the cymbal and contributes to the overall sound rather than standing apart.

Construction

The thickness is medium heavy, making it suitable for medium to loud music. Both live and in the studio. Volume-wise it sits in the medium to loud range.

Applications

2002 Medium works in almost any context, from classic rock, blues, punk, hard rock and heavy metal to crossover, country rock, ska, rockabilly, funk, R&B, soul and gospel. And all sorts of subgenres in between.
