19" Zildjian Z Custom Crash - Brilliant

Product Description

19" Z Custom Crash by Zildjian in B20 bronze with a Brilliant finish, built for hard rock and metal. Fast, explosive and piercing tone with real body and dynamics. The cymbal opens up nicely at lower volumes but never chokes when you dig in.

Z Custom is built for the heavier end of the spectrum, from heavy metal to thrash, black metal and death metal, though the sound can work in other contexts too depending on the tone you're after. The reintroduced 2024 version has more body, opens up more easily and is significantly more dynamic than earlier generations in the Z series, without losing the piercing clarity that made the series a favorite among hard rock drummers.

Sound Character

The crashes in the Z Custom series are hard-hitting yet retain musicality and body. They're fast on attack and explosive in tone, with a clear, piercing character that cuts through a distorted guitar mix without sounding thin or hollow.

Construction

The cymbal is made from Zildjian's Secret Family B20 Alloy and features a Brilliant finish, a polished surface that gives a sharp, direct attack.

Who It's For

Great for players in hard rock, metal, thrash, black metal or death metal who want a crash that cuts through a dense, distorted mix. Though the tone can also suit other genres depending on the sound you're chasing.

About Zildjian

Zildjian was founded in Constantinople in 1623 by the alchemist Avedis, who accidentally discovered an alloy of copper, tin and silver with unique sonic properties. The family business moved to the USA in 1908 and has manufactured its cymbals in Massachusetts ever since.
