19" Paiste Color Sound 900 Heavy Crash Cymbal - Red

Product Description

The Color Sound 900 Red Heavy Crash is a 19" crash cymbal from Paiste with a warm, full and dynamic sound. It belongs to the Color Sound 900 series and shares the same base construction as the regular 900 series, but with a colored coating in red that gives it a slightly darker and more controlled sound. Works equally well live and in the studio, across genres.

Cymbals in the Color Sound 900 series are machine-made at their core, just like the rest of the 900 series, but hand-hammered in a final step. That hand-hammering, combined with the colored coating, gives the cymbal its slightly more controlled character compared to the uncoated 900 series.

Sound and Feel

This Heavy Crash has a heavier weight and produces a medium to loud volume, with a washy attack and lively intensity. The bell is integrated into the cymbal, giving a clear, cohesive sound even when playing lightly on the bell area.

Construction

The cymbal is cast in CuSn20 alloy (bell bronze), the same alloy used throughout the 900 series, giving it a full and dynamic core sound.

Who It's For

A solid choice if you want a robust crash with a great washy character while also standing out visually thanks to the red color. Works just as well in the studio as on stage, regardless of musical style.
