19" Paiste Color Sound 900 Crash Cymbal - Blue

Product Description

Paiste's Color Sound 900 Blue Crash is a 19" crash cymbal made from CuSn20 bronze, built through the same process as the regular 900 series but finished with a colored coating that gives it a slightly darker and more controlled sound. It works equally well on stage and in the studio, across any genre.

The cymbal is machine-made at its core and then hand-hammered in the final stage, just like the rest of the 900 series. The blue coating is what sets it apart, taming and controlling the sound a bit compared to an untreated 900 cymbal. The result is a warm, full and dynamic sound with a washy attack character and a lively intensity that's easy to shape in the mix. The bell is integrated into the cymbal and adds a clear presence to the overall sound.

Sound and character

The thickness is medium, giving it a volume range from medium low to loud, so it works both in quieter passages and when you need more punch. The attack sound is described as washy, with a lively, open character suited to both subtle comping and clear accents.

Who It's For

A great crash for players who want to stand out visually without giving up the classic Paiste 900-series sound, and who like a touch more warmth and control than the standard version offers.
