The Byzance Series

Byzance cymbals are made in Meinl's Turkish factory using traditional craftsmanship. Each cymbal is cast from B20 alloy, heated, rolled and cooled according to a carefully proven schedule until the right thickness is reached. The bell is shaped before hand-hammering gives the cymbal its final form, and the surface is hand-lathed before being sent to Germany for quality control, sorting and finishing (such as laser logo, brilliant finish or sandblasting). It's the combination of Turkish craftsmanship and German quality control that gives Byzance its warm sound and consistent standard. Byzance is available in six variants. Traditional, Vintage, Jazz, Extra Dry, Dark and Brilliant. Each with its own sound characteristics and look.
