19" Paiste 2002 Thin Crash Cymbal
19" Thin Crash from Paiste's 2002 series, CuSn8 bronze. Bright, powerful sound with washy character and built-in bell.
Product Description
The Paiste 2002 Thin Crash is a 19" crash cymbal from the legendary 2002 series that has defined the sound of rock drumming since 1971. Its thinner build gives a brilliant, open sound with a fast response and an integrated bell that adds extra character to the tone.
Paiste 2002 cymbals are still made according to the same principles as the original classics, and they still work in most musical contexts today. The alloy is CuSn8, also known as "2002 Bronze", which gives the cymbal its bright and powerful character.
Sound and Feel
The sound is described as brilliant, clear, warm and strong, with high musical precision, a high energy level and powerful projection. The stick attack has a washy character, meaning a rich underlying wash builds up after the initial strike, and the intensity feels lively. The cymbal works from medium-soft to loud music, both live and in the studio.
Who It's For
The 2002 Thin Crash suits players of classic rock, blues, punk, hard rock, heavy metal and most modern metal styles, as well as crossover, country rock, ska, rockabilly, funk, R&B, soul, gospel and related genres.
