Sound Character

The 2002 Power Crash offers a brilliant, clear and warm tone that remains strong and highly precise. The attack is fairly washy with a lively, energetic intensity, and the cymbal features an integrated bell for extra tonal color. Its heavy weight contributes to the high volume and powerful projection.

Uses

The cymbal is built for everything from medium-soft to very loud music, live and in the studio. It works well in classic rock, blues, punk, hard rock, heavy metal and most modern metal styles, as well as crossover, country rock, ska, rockabilly, funk, R&B, soul, gospel and many other genres.

Construction

The alloy is CuSn8, also known as "2002 Bronze". The same bronze alloy that helped make the 2002 series one of the most iconic cymbal sounds in rock history.
