18" Zildjian S Family Medium Thin Crash - Brilliant
Product Description
An 18" Medium Thin Crash from Zildjian's S Family. An affordable crash cast in B12 bronze with a Brilliant finish and a bright, cutting tone. Suits both the newer drummer and the more experienced player, and holds up on gig duty too.
S Family is made from B12 alloy (88% copper, 12% tin) with a Brilliant finish that gives a shimmering, bright top end. The cymbal is designed to sound considerably more expensive than it costs, making it a strong option for the hobby drummer who wants a cymbal that cuts through the mix without a big price tag.
The S series is broad: crash, hi-hat and ride cymbals come in several models and sizes, and the line can be expanded with effects cymbals such as splash, trash crash and china to widen your sonic palette.

The name Zildjian was given in the 1600s to the alchemist Avedis of Constantinople, who accidentally created a copper, tin and silver alloy with remarkable sound properties and switched from alchemy to cymbal making. Three hundred years later, in 1908, a later Avedis Zildjian moved production to Boston, USA. Through collaboration with the drummers of the era, including Gene Krupa, many of today's cymbal types. Ride, crash, hi-hat and splash. Were developed, originally named by Avedis himself.
