18" Aquarian Super Kick II Double Ply - Coated

Product Description

The Aquarian Super Kick II Double Ply Coated 18" is a double-ply bass drum head with built-in muffling. Its patented Floating Muffling System delivers a controlled, musical bass drum sound without felt strips, pillows or any other external muffling. It's a longtime favorite among drummers, drum techs and recording engineers who want studio-ready tone straight out of the box.

Floating Muffling System

The system uses a narrow band of acoustic felt that sits loosely against the inside of the head. The felt moves and "breathes" with the head on every hit, eliminating unwanted overtones while boosting that great low-end punch bass drums are known for. The result is a muffled yet still natural sound, with no extra dampening material required.

Construction and finish

This version is built with double-ply construction for extra durability and control, finished in Coated for a warm, slightly muted base tone compared to a clear finish. The Super Kick series is also available in single-ply and hybrid-ply construction, and in Clear, Texture and Vintage Coated finishes, so you can dial in exactly the character you want.

Who It's For

A great choice if you want a controlled bass drum tone on stage or in the studio without fussing with felt strips and pillows every time you tune up.
