18" Aquarian Superkick Single Ply - Clear
18" bass drum head from Aquarian's Super Kick line with Floating Muffling System for controlled, punchy low-end.
Product Description
Aquarian's Super Kick is one of the best-known bass drum heads on the market, known for delivering a controlled, musical bass drum sound without filters, pillows or other external muffling. This is an 18" single ply head in clear finish, built around Aquarian's patented Floating Muffling System.
It's a favorite among drummers, drum techs and recording engineers who want a controlled bass drum sound straight out of the shell, without having to build in their own muffling.
Floating Muffling System
The construction is built around a narrow band of acoustic felt that is mounted so it moves and "breathes" with the head on every strike. The result is a muffled yet still natural sound, where unwanted overtones are eliminated and that great low-end punch is enhanced. Without any loose felt strips or pillows inside the drum.
Single Ply Construction
The Super Kick series is available in single, double and hybrid ply versions, in clear, texture or vintage coated finishes. This version is single ply with a clear finish, giving a more open and resonant base tone compared to the double ply versions, while the Floating Muffling System still keeps the overtones under control.
Who It's For
A good choice if you want a controlled, musical bass drum sound without experimenting with filters and pillows. Live or in the studio.
