18" Paiste RUDE Basher Crash Cymbal
18" crash cymbal (RUDE Basher) in CuSn20 bronze from Paiste. Raw, cutting attack that cuts through heavy, aggressive music.
Product Description
The RUDE Basher is an 18" crash cymbal in CuSn20 bronze from Paiste, built for a raw and powerful sound in heavier music styles. It delivers a sharp, distinct attack with a long bell, and works equally well on stage and in the studio.
Sound Character
The RUDE series launched in the early 1980s and stood out then for its raw, hard, sharp sound, and it still does. The Basher is medium heavy in weight and delivers a full intensity with a washy attack sound and a fairly separated chick sound. The bell is long and the volume ranges from medium to very loud, so the cymbal cuts through even in a dense, loud mix.
Where It Shines
The RUDE Basher is built for raw, trashy, loud music such as rock, hard rock, heavy metal, punk, hardcore and most modern metal styles. It works both live and in the studio, and is a good choice when you need a crash that stays audible without losing character in an aggressive mix.
