The PST 7 Heavy Crash is an 18" crash cymbal from Paiste, made from the classic CuSn8 ("2002 Bronze") alloy. It delivers a clear, clean and warm tone with a somewhat washy attack, suited to most styles and volumes – from rehearsal room to stage.

The PST 7 series is built for drummers who want a traditional cymbal sound and look without paying professional prices. The cymbals come in three weight classes – Light/Thin, Medium and Heavy – so you can pick the feel and response that suits your playing. This model sits in the heaviest class, medium heavy, giving more body and a slightly higher volume ceiling than the lighter versions.

Sound Character

The tone is clear, clean and open with a warm undertone. The attack is fairly washy and the intensity lively, keeping the crash cutting through the mix without becoming harsh. An integrated bell adds an extra sound option, letting you switch between crash and a more defined bell response.
