18" Paiste PST 5 Rock Crash Cymbal

Product Description

The PST 5 Rock Crash is an 18" crash cymbal from Paiste, made from the CuSn8 Bronze alloy. The same "2002 bronze" recipe used in Paiste's higher-end series, here in a simpler, more affordable execution. The sound is clear, pure, open and articulate with plenty of energy, and the heavy thickness makes it well suited for rock and related genres where you need a bit more durability in the attack.

• CuSn8 Bronze alloy, the same bronze recipe as Paiste's higher-end series
• Made with Swiss cymbal expertise combined with German engineering
• Heavy thickness for medium to very loud volume
• Shimmering attack sound and lively intensity
• Integrated bell
• Suitable for all genres and volume levels, including live use

Sound and Feel

The sound is described as clear, pure, open and articulate with high energy. An all-around cymbal rather than a specialized tone. The attack has a shimmering quality and the intensity is lively, making it rewarding to play with force.

Construction

The PST 5 is made from CuSn8 Bronze, Paiste's own alloy recipe also used in its higher-end series. Here in a simpler, more affordable execution. The thickness is classed as heavy, giving the cymbal capacity from medium volume up to very loud volume. The bell is integrated into the cymbal.

Who It's For

A solid choice if you want a robust, energetic crash for rock and similar genres without paying for Paiste's premium series. Works equally well live as in the rehearsal room thanks to its wide volume range.
