18" Remo Powerstroke P3 Felt Tone
Product Description
The Powerstroke P3 Felt Tone is an 18" bass drumhead from Remo with a felt dampening strip built right into the head, giving you the classic warm, controlled bass drum tone without having to rig up separate dampening yourself.
Drummers have long taped or fitted a strip of felt against the batter head to tame overtones and get a fuller, more controlled bass drum sound. The P3 Felt Tone takes that traditional approach and builds it into the drumhead itself: a free floating felt dampening strip sits inside the head with no glues or adhesives holding it in place. You get the same dampening effect as a loose felt strip, but in a head you install just like any other.
Because the dampening is already built in, there's no need to experiment with tape, felt strips or other loose dampeners inside the bass drum. This head works well for both vintage-style setups and contemporary drum kits where a warm, controlled low end is what you're after.
Construction
- Free floating felt dampening strip built into the head
- No glues or adhesives used in the dampening construction
- Installs just like a standard bass drumhead
Who It's For
A good choice if you want a controlled, dampened bass drum tone without building your own dampening setup inside the drum. Works well for both vintage-toned and modern drum-set applications.
