18" Remo Powerstroke 3 Felt Tone - Fiberskyn

Product Description

Powerstroke 3 Felt Tone from Remo is a bass drumhead with a Fiberskyn coating and built-in felt muffling, 18". It delivers the classic, muffled drum tone of a felt strip without the hassle of loose felt, and works equally well for vintage-inspired and modern drum sounds.

• Delivers the classic, muffled drum tone without dealing with loose felt strips
• Built with a "free-floating" felt piece, attached at the top and bottom rather than glued
• Works for both vintage kits and modern drum sound

Construction

The felt in the Powerstroke 3 Felt Tone doesn't sit under the drumhead's hoop the way a traditional felt strip does. Instead it's attached at the top and bottom edges and floats freely across the drumhead surface, just like a classic felt strip. The difference shows up when tuning: since the felt isn't trapped under the hoop, this drumhead tunes considerably more easily than a loose felt strip setup.

Sound and use

The result is the familiar, muffled bass drum tone many associate with vintage kits, but the construction makes it just as usable on modern setups. The Fiberskyn coating adds a warm, natural character to the tone.

Size

This drumhead is supplied in the 18" size. Powerstroke 3 Felt Tone Fiberskyn is also available in 20", 22", 24" and 26" for other bass drum sizes.
