Construction and sound

The Classics Custom series is built from B12 bronze using Meinl's computer-controlled Hi-Tech manufacturing process, giving these pressed cymbals a brilliance previously found only in more expensive series. This particular Thin Crash is thin and light, with a medium-high pitch, medium sustain and a volume that sits between medium and low. The source material describes the tone as bright with a rich, musical character, while also noting that the cymbal's quick, open response gives it a darker, warmer tonality on impact. Making it versatile across genres such as rock, pop, metal, fusion and studio work.

Who it's for

A good choice if you want a crash that responds quickly and feels soft to play, whether you're keeping the volume down in the rehearsal room or recording in a home studio.
