18" Aquarian Jack DeJohnette - Black texture
Single-ply drum head with a black textured coating for a dry, focused sound. Great for jazz and fusion.
Product Description
Jack DeJohnette's playing style is iconic and his sound truly his own. And that's exactly what Aquarian has captured in this signature head. Its single-ply construction features a special black texture that delivers a dry, focused sound especially suited for jazz and fusion.
The coating is slightly thicker than on a standard single-ply head, which tames overtones and gives a more controlled, focused character without losing life. The result is a tone with clear attack and short decay, the kind of dry, direct sound many jazz and fusion drummers look for in a bass drum head.
Built as a single-ply head, it suits players who want a bass drum head with real character rather than a neutral all-around option.
