18" Istanbul Agop Xist Ion Crash Cymbal
18″ Xist Ion crash cymbal from Istanbul Agop with laser-cut holes. Splashy, raw attack and very quick decay.
Product Description
The Xist Ion Crash is an 18" crash cymbal from Istanbul Agop featuring symmetrically placed geometric holes throughout the cymbal. The holes give the crash a splashy, raw attack with a very quick decay, making it a great choice for accents, hand drumming, or use in a stack with other cymbals.
The Xist series combines more modern production techniques with traditional cymbal making processes, making it possible to offer professional quality at a price accessible to drummers at any level.
Sound and Feel
Because of the holes, the attack is raw and splashy rather than full and singing, and the sound decays very quickly instead of washing on for a long time. That makes this cymbal especially useful when you want a short, distinct accent rather than a long, sustained crash.
Who It's For
A good choice if you want a distinct, short effect sound for accents, hand drumming, or as part of a cymbal stack, rather than a main crash with long sustain.
