18" Istanbul Agop Turk Crash Cymbal
18" crash from Istanbul Agop's Custom Turk series, hand-hammered and unlathed. Raw, dry sound.
Product Description
An 18" crash cymbal from Istanbul Agop's exclusive Custom series, Turk. A hand-hammered cymbal with a raw, unlathed surface that gives a noticeably drier and rawer sound than its siblings in the series.
The Custom series is built on four different lines that all start from the same Traditional series, but each gets its own character through different surface treatments: Sultan, Turk, Empire and Special Edition. All are hand-hammered and belong to the exclusive end of Istanbul Agop's range.
What sets the Turk series apart is that these cymbals never go through the lathing process. The surface is left completely raw, giving a sound that is somewhat drier than the Sultan series. A cymbal for players who want an earthy, unrefined character with clear personality in the sound.
