The SABIAN HHX Evolution O-Zone Crash 18" is a perforated crash built for raw, dark and dirty bite. The 2" holes give it an open, simmering character with extra edge, and the HHX series' "Tone Projection" design means that dark, agitated sound actually gets heard and felt instead of just simmering quietly. Construction and Sound Character
The cymbal is perforated with 2" holes – a construction SABIAN calls O-Zone. The holes make the cymbal simmer and stir more than a solid surface, while the HHX series' Tone Projection design (created by the SABIAN Vault team) ensures the dark, agitated sound actually projects outward rather than staying muted. The result is a Modern Dark tone that holds up even at higher volumes instead of getting buried in the mix.
