The Remo Fiberskyn 3 Ambassador is an 18" drumhead with the dark, warm, round tone traditional jazz playing calls for. The surface works well with both sticks and brushes, and the head suits snare drums, bass drums and toms just as well as World Percussion instruments.

Fiberskyn 3 Ambassador heads are medium-weight, built from a poly-spun fiber single-ply 10 mil Mylar® film that produces a warm mid-range resonant sound with a warm attack. The textured surface is excellent for sticks and brushes alike, and it's this combination that has made Fiberskyn 3 a favorite for Jazz and Orchestral applications. On World Percussion instruments it also delivers an outstanding, authentic ethnic drum sound.

Sound Character

Expect a dark, warm and round tone rather than a sharp or aggressive attack. A natural choice whenever you want a softer, more organic sound than a standard coated or clear head provides.

Who It's For

A great option if you play jazz, orchestral music or world percussion and want warmth and roundness rather than a bright, cutting attack. Also works well as a way to broaden the tonal palette on an existing drum.

Note that sizes from 20" and up in this range are bass drum heads, and a separate 18" bass drum version is listed further down in the assortment. This head is not that bass drum variant.
