The Fiberskyn 3 Ambassador is a single-ply drumhead from Remo built for the dark, warm and round tone that traditional jazz and orchestral drumming call for. This is the 18" size, made for bass drum use – note that bass drum heads from 18" and up sit further down in the size range.

It's constructed from a single 10 mil poly-spun fiber Mylar® film, a medium-weight build that produces a warm, mid-range resonant sound with a soft, warm attack rather than a sharp one. The Fiberskyn surface has a natural, fabric-like texture that works excellently with both sticks and brushes.

Sound Character

Fiberskyn 3 is known for the dark, warm, round tone sought after for traditional jazz, concert snare drums, bass drums and tom-toms. Used on World Percussion instruments, it also gives an outstanding, authentic ethnic drum sound compared to a standard synthetic head.

Who It's For

A good choice if you play jazz or orchestral music and want a warmer, more organic tone than a standard head gives you. Also works well if you want to give a bass drum or tom a more acoustic, controlled character.
