18" Evans EMAD Heavyweight - Clear
Powerful bass drum head with the EMAD damping system. Swap rings for anything from fat thud to open tone.
Product Description
The Evans EMAD Heavyweight Clear is a powerful 18" bass drum head built from two plies of 10 mil film for extra durability and a tight, controlled attack. The well-known EMAD damping system with interchangeable external muffle rings lets you change the head's character quickly, without switching heads between songs or venues.
Three sounds in one head
- The wide muffle ring delivers a fat, focused "hammock sound."
- The narrow muffle ring gives a slightly more open tone with more ring left in.
- Playing with no ring at all gives a more classic, open Bonham-style thud.
The two-ply 10 mil film construction makes the head tough enough for hard playing, while the EMAD system gives fast, tool-free control over damping.
