18" Remo Colortone Powerstroke 3 - Colortone Green

Product Description

An 18" bass drum head from Remo's Colortone series in green, built on the Powerstroke 3 construction. The head is single-ply with a built-in dampening ring at the edge, giving controlled tone right out of the box. Ideal if you want to add some color to your bass drum without compromising the sound.

The Colortone series uses Remo's Skyndeep® Imaging Technology, which gives the head a vivid, colorful appearance while retaining full projection, tone, and durability. The graphic surface doesn't affect performance. Besides green (Colortone Green), Colortone is offered in Orange, Yellow, Red, Blue, and Smoke, and the series comes in three constructions: Emperor®, Powerstroke® 77, and Powerstroke® P3, in sizes from 8" to 26".

Construction

Powerstroke 3 is a single-ply batter head with a built-in dampening ring at the edge. This gives a pre-dampened tone with control over overtones, a common feature sought specifically in a bass drum head.

Who It's For

A good choice if you want to give your bass drum a distinct visual identity on stage while also wanting a head with built-in dampening instead of adding your own muffling afterward.
