18" Paiste Color Sound 900 China Cymbal - Red

Product Description

The Color Sound 900 Red China is an 18" china cymbal from Paiste, made from CuSn20 bronze and finished in bold red. It shares its construction with the standard 900 series but the colour coating gives it a slightly darker, more controlled sound. Suited for both live and studio use, across essentially all genres.

Sound Character

The sound is warm, full and dynamic, with a washy attack and trashy intensity that give it a raw, lively character. The bell has a medium character and the china's typical chick sound is integrated into the overall tone, making it versatile for both accents and longer passages.

Construction

The cymbal is machine-made like the rest of the 900 series, but hand-hammered in a final step. It is classed as medium thin in weight, with a volume range of medium to loud, giving it room in quieter passages while still cutting through when needed.

Who It's For

A great choice if you want to add a bold, colourful china to your setup without giving up the warm, controlled sound the Color Sound 900 series is known for.
