The Remo Emperor Coated is a two-ply (2-ply) tom head known for its warm tone and rugged durability. The double layer of film gives a fuller, darker sound compared to single-ply heads and stands up well to hard playing. A solid choice if you play a lot and don't want to replace heads too often.

The coating gives a warmer, more muted attack than a clear head and tames the sharpest overtones, making it a good fit for genres like pop, R&B and rock where you want a full but controlled tom sound. The two-ply (2-ply) construction makes the head more resistant to heavy playing and also provides natural built-in dampening. You'll rarely need to add extra muffling. This model is sold in an 18" size and carries the MPN BE-0118-00.

Construction
