The Meinl Classics Custom Dark 18" China (CC18DACH) is the first China cymbal in the Dark series, built to complement the series' popular crashes. Like its siblings, it's made from B10 bronze (90% copper, 10% tin) and goes through a special heat treatment that gives it both its dark, distinctive look and a wide sound spectrum.
What you notice right away is the fast attack – a bright tone with a medium-high pitch that cuts through without turning harsh. Sustain and volume both sit at a medium level, which makes the cymbal easy to control when you want a China effect without it taking over the mix.
