Product Description

The 2002 Extreme Crash is Paiste's take on the classic 2002 series, built to cut through loud, hard music. Cast in CuSn8 bronze ("2002 Bronze"), it delivers a brilliant, clear and strong sound with extremely powerful projection. A great fit for rock, punk, hard rock, heavy metal, hardcore and most modern metal styles, live or in the studio.

• Powerful projection that cuts through even high stage volumes
• Clear, strong sound with a high energy level
• Medium washy stick attack
• Lively, intense response
• Integrated bell

Sound and Feel

The sound is brilliant, clear and precise with a very high energy level. The attack has a medium washy character, meaning there's a noticeable underlying cymbal wash beneath the stick sound, while the cymbal still feels lively and intense in its response. The bell is integrated into the cymbal's surface rather than a separate playing area.

Construction

The cymbal is made from CuSn8 alloy, known as "2002 Bronze", with a Heavy weight classification that contributes to its loud volume and powerful projection.

Who It's For

The 2002 Extreme Crash is for players working in loud, hard music genres such as rock, punk, hard rock, heavy metal and hardcore, who need a crash cymbal that cuts through clearly, both live and in the studio.
