Product Description
The Paiste 2002 China is built on the same foundation as the classic cymbals that shaped the sound of rock back in the early 1970s. Made from CuSn8 alloy, often called "2002 Bronze," it works equally well on stage and in the studio. The sound is brilliant, clear and warm, but with a powerful, high-energy attack that cuts through a dense mix.
The 2002 China is built for medium to loud volume music and suits most rock-related genres – classic rock, blues, punk, hard rock, heavy metal and most modern metal styles, as well as crossover, country rock, ska, rockabilly, funk, R&B, soul and gospel.
Sound Character
The attack is fairly bright and pingy, with a lively, cutting intensity that keeps the cymbal audible even at higher volumes. The integrated bell adds a useful extra sound alongside the edge.
Construction
The medium thickness strikes a good balance between response and power – strong enough to cut through, yet still musical and precise in tone.
