18" Paiste 2002 Black Big Beat - Black
Product Description
The 18" 2002 Black Big Beat is a modernization of Paiste's classic 2002 series – a crash cymbal in a generous size that gives a big, timeless and powerful impression. The sound is warm, deep, strong and full, with a clearly defined attack that carries well from medium-loud to loud music.
Sound and Construction
The cymbal is made from CuSn20 alloy (also known as Traditional Bronze) and has a medium thin thickness. This gives it a lively intensity and a clearly defined stick sound, while still keeping warmth and fullness in the tone. The bell is integrated into the cymbal, contributing to the overall sound rather than acting as a separate sound element.
Use Cases
The 2002 Black Big Beat 18" suits medium-loud to loud music, both live and in the studio. It works well for classic rock, blues, punk, hard rock, heavy metal and most modern metal styles, as well as crossover, country rock, ska, rockabilly, funk, R&B, soul, gospel and various other genres.
Who It's For
A good choice if you want a crash cymbal with big, timeless character and enough volume for heavier genres, without losing warmth and fullness in the sound.
