17" Paiste Signature Dark Energy Crash Mark I Crash Cymbal

Product Description

A 17" crash cymbal from Paiste's Signature Dark Energy series, forged from the manufacturer's own Proprietary Signature Bronze and hand-crafted from start to finish by Swiss craftsmen. The sound is dark, multi-layered and warm, with a rich, full character and a clear focus on control, projection and balance. Suited for jazz, fusion, progressive rock, blues-rock and funk.

Sound and Feel

The Signature Dark Energy Crash Mark I delivers a dark, multi-layered, warm tone with a crisp edge. The sound is rich and full, balancing attack, projection and control so the cymbal responds well across the dynamic range, from soft to loud (Soft To Loud). It has a lively attack, a fairly long bell, washy intensity in the decay, and an integrated chick sound on the hi-hat.

Construction

The cymbal is made in the medium light thickness class from Paiste's proprietary Signature Bronze, individually hammered and hand-crafted in Switzerland following the manufacturer's traditional methods. A modern take on classic hand-crafted cymbals.

Who It's For

For the discerning drummer looking for personal tone and musical versatility, especially in jazz, fusion, progressive rock, blues-rock and funk.
