Product Description
The PST 8 Reflector Rock Crash is a 17" crash cymbal from Paiste, made from the classic CuSn8 bronze alloy (also known as "2002 Bronze"). The cymbal is traditionally hand-hammered and finished with Paiste's Reflector high-gloss finish, giving it a striking look and sound.
The alloy and hammering give the cymbal a bright, clean tone with a powerful attack, while still keeping warmth and clear tonal definition. The attack is washy and the intensity lively, making it easy to cut through a mix. The bell has a fairly separated character and can be used as its own voice beyond the crash sound.
The thickness is medium heavy, giving the cymbal enough substance for medium to loud volume - it works just as well in the rehearsal room as on stage or in the studio.
