17" Paiste PST 7 Thin Crash Cymbal

Product Description

The PST 7 Thin Crash is a 17" crash cymbal from Paiste, made from the classic CuSn8 bronze ("2002 Bronze" alloy). Its thin gauge gives a clear, warm tone with an open, washy character, making it a great-value, traditional-sounding crash for most styles.

The PST 7 series is built to give drummers a traditional sound, look and feel at an affordable price. The cymbals come in three weight classes. Light/Thin, Medium and Heavy. To suit different playing styles and volume needs.

Sound Character

The tone is clear, clean, open and warm, with an all-around character that works across genres and volume levels. This Thin model delivers a velvety attack and washy intensity, with a medium bell and an integrated chick sound when used in hi-hat contexts. Volume character sits in the low to medium-loud range.

Construction

The cymbal is cast from CuSn8 bronze, the same alloy behind Paiste's classic "2002 Bronze" sound. The thin gauge contributes to the open, washy tonal character and soft stick attack.

Use

The PST 7 Thin Crash suits all types of music regardless of genre and volume, and works well live and in some recording contexts.
