17" Paiste Color Sound 900 Red Heavy Crash Cymbal - Red

Product Description

17" crash cymbal from Paiste's Color Sound 900 series, in the heavier Heavy weight and finished in red. The cymbal is machine-made at its core but hand-hammered in the final stage, and together with the colour coating this gives a slightly darker, more controlled sound than a standard 900 series cymbal. Works well both on stage and in the studio, across genres.

The alloy is CuSn20, the same alloy used throughout Paiste's 900 series. Paiste describes the sound as warm, full and dynamic, with a washy character where a lot of underlying cymbal wash follows the stick attack. The cymbal has a medium to loud volume and a lively intensity, and the integrated bell adds a clear extra layer to the overall sound.
