17" Paiste Color Sound 900 Crash Cymbal - Red

Product Description

The Paiste Color Sound 900 Red Crash is a 17" crash cymbal from the Color Sound 900 series, finished in red with a warm, full and dynamic sound. The cymbal is machine-made but finished with hand-hammering, and the color coating gives it a slightly darker, more controlled sound than the standard 900 series.

• CuSn20 bronze alloy
• Medium thickness
• Washy attack with lively intensity
• Integrated bell
• Medium volume, low to loud

Sound and Feel

The sound is warm, full and dynamic, with a washy attack that adds life and movement to the tone. The integrated bell adds extra character to the attack. Thanks to the color coating, the sound is slightly darker and more controlled compared to the regular 900 series, making it easier to control in different settings.

Construction

The cymbal is built the same way as the rest of the Color Sound 900 series: a machine-made base that is then hand-hammered in a final step. The alloy is CuSn20, a bronze alloy commonly used in Paiste cymbals.

Who It's For

A good choice if you want a cymbal that stands out visually without compromising on sound. It works well both live and in the studio, across most genres and musical contexts.
