17" Paiste Color Sound 900 Crash Cymbal - Purple

Product Description

The Paiste Color Sound 900 Purple Crash is a 17" crash cymbal from the Color Sound 900 series, finished in purple. The cymbal is machine-made at its core but hand-hammered in a final step, and the color coating gives it a slightly darker, more controlled sound than the standard 900 series. It works well both live and in the studio, across most genres and musical settings.

Sound Character

The tone is warm, full and dynamic, with a washy attack that gives a lively intensity to the sound. Volume sits in the medium low to loud range, making it flexible for different styles of playing. The integrated bell adds a distinct element to the overall sound.

Construction

The cymbal is cast in CuSn20 (B20 bronze) alloy with a medium thickness. The machine-made blank is hand-hammered in a final step, and the purple color coating is part of what gives the Color Sound 900 series its slightly darker, more controlled sound compared to the regular 900 series.

Who It's For

A good choice if you want a crash cymbal with character and a distinctive color on your rig, whether you're playing live or in the studio.
