17" Paiste Color Sound 900 Heavy Crash Cymbal - Black

Product Description

The 17" Black Heavy Crash from Paiste's Color Sound 900 series shares its build with the standard 900-series, but comes in heavy thickness with a black color coating that gives the sound a slightly darker, more controlled character. Suited for both live and studio use, across most genres and musical settings.

The cymbal is machine-made at its core, then hand-hammered in a final step. The black coating makes the sound somewhat darker and more controlled than an uncoated 900-series cymbal, while keeping the washy attack and lively intensity.

Sound Character

• Warm, full and dynamic sound
• Washy attack with lively intensity
• Medium to loud volume
• Integrated bell

Construction

Alloy: CuSn20 (bell bronze). Thickness: heavy. Machine-made in its base form, then hand-hammered, giving the surface its characteristic texture beneath the color coating.

Who It's For

A good choice if you want a heavy crash with a bit more control and darker character than the standard 900-series. And want it to stand out visually. Also available in purple, red and blue within the same series.
