16,5" ProMark Rebound 5AB Long

Product Description

The ProMark Rebound 5AB Long is a hickory drumstick with a wood Acorn tip, built to the Select Balance concept with pitch-matched and weight-matched pairs. The long, tapering neck gives extra rebound and a light playing feel suited to dynamic playing. The diameter sits between 5A and 5B, and the stick is half an inch longer than a standard stick.

• Pitch-matched pairs, max 6 Hz difference (roughly a quarter tone)
• Weight-matched pairs, max 1.5 g difference
• Long, tapering neck (3") for extra rebound
• Wood Acorn tip
• Diameter between 5A and 5B
• Half an inch longer than a standard stick

The Select Balance Concept

The Rebound 5AB Long belongs to ProMark's Select Balance concept, which sets high manufacturing standards. The concept is built on two base models: Rebound Balance, with a long, thin neck and the weight shifted backward for extra rebound and a light feel, and Forward Balance, with a shorter (2.25") and thicker neck with the weight shifted forward for more power and durability.

Each base model comes with two tip types, Teardrop and Acorn. The Acorn version generally has a slightly slimmer neck than the corresponding Teardrop model. The base models 7A, 5A and 5B are available in both tip types, where Teardrop is marked T (e.g. FBH535TW) and Acorn is marked A (e.g. FBH535AW) in the model code.

Reading the Model Code

The long model code describes the stick's full construction: balance type, material, diameter and tip type. A pair marked FBH535TW, for example, stands for Forward Balance (FB) in Hickory (H) at 0.535" diameter (535) with a Teardrop tip (T) in wood (W). This stick, RBH580LAW, is a Rebound Balance (RB) in Hickory (H) at 0.580" diameter (580), Long (L), with an Acorn tip (A) in wood (W).

ProMark is committed to the environment: for every tree harvested for manufacturing, 5 new trees are planted.
