16" Paiste Signature Mellow Crash Cymbal

Product Description

The 16" Signature Mellow Crash is a hand-crafted crash cymbal from Paiste's Signature series, cast in the proprietary Signature Bronze alloy. It delivers a musical, full and washy sound at soft to medium volumes, with an integrated bell that adds extra character when played on the bow's tip.

The cymbal is part of Paiste's Signature series, hand-crafted from start to finish by Swiss cymbal makers. The series spans from delicate, sensitive cymbals to more expressive and powerful ones, and the Mellow Crash sits among the more responsive and nuanced models.

Sound and Feel

The sound is described as musical, beautiful, full and clear. The attack is washy with a lively intensity, giving an open, sweeping sound rather than a sharp, defined strike. The thickness is medium thin, contributing to the responsive feel at lower to medium volumes.

Who It's For

This cymbal suits most volumes and styles, both live and in the studio. Everything from pop and rock to country, blues and big band. A good choice if you play dynamically and want a crash that blends into the mix rather than cutting through it.
