16" Paiste PST 8 Reflector Rock Crash - Reflector (High-Gloss)

Product Description

The PST 8 Reflector Rock Crash is a hand-hammered crash cymbal from Paiste, cast in the classic CuSn8 bronze alloy ("2002 Bronze") and finished with the polished Reflector look. It delivers a bright, powerful yet warm tone with clear definition, and works across genres and volumes – on stage as well as in the studio.

Sound Character

The tone is bright and clean with a powerful attack, while still keeping a warm, clear undertone. The attack has a washy edge and a lively intensity, and the bell sits fairly separated from the rest of the cymbal's playing surface – handy if you want to switch between crash and a distinct bell sound.

Construction

The cymbal is cast from CuSn8 bronze, refined through traditional hand-hammering, and held to a medium heavy thickness. The surface is finished with Paiste's Reflector treatment – a high-gloss polish that gives it a distinctive look as well as a slight imprint on the sound.

Who It's For

A good fit if you want a crash that works broadly across styles and volumes, while still offering a clear, separated bell to fall back on. The medium heavy thickness makes it suited for medium to loud playing, giving it a stable footing in both rehearsal rooms and on stage.
