The PST 7 Heavy Crash is a 16" crash cymbal from Paiste, made from the classic CuSn8 bronze alloy ("2002 Bronze"). It delivers a warm, clear and open sound with a fairly washy attack and an integrated bell for extra character. A great-value choice if you want traditional Paiste sound without paying for the pro-level series.
The PST 7 series is built for drummers who like a traditional sound, look and feel, at a price that makes the series accessible to more players. The cymbals come in three weight classes (Light/Thin, Medium and Heavy) to suit different playing styles and genres.
Sound Character
The tone is clear, pure, open and warm, a true all-around cymbal. The attack is fairly washy with a lively intensity, and thanks to the integrated bell you get an extra distinct layer when playing on the bell.
