16" ProMark Rebound 5AB Acorn

Product Description

Promark Rebound 5AB Acorn (RBH580AW) is a pair of hickory drumsticks with a diameter between 5A and 5B, 16" length and an acorn-shaped wood bead. The Rebound model has a long, tapered neck with the balance point shifted rearward, giving extra rebound and a light, responsive feel.

• Diameter between 5A and 5B for both control and power.
• Long (3") tapered neck for a snappy rebound.
• Acorn wood bead for a full sound.
• Pitch-matched pairs with a tolerance of max 6 Hz.
• Weight-matched pairs with a tolerance of max 1.5 grams.

The Select Balance Concept

This stick is built on Promark's Select Balance concept, with two base models: Forward Balance and Rebound Balance. Forward has a shorter (2.25"), thicker neck with the balance shifted forward for more power and durability. Rebound, as used here, has a longer, thinner neck with the balance shifted rearward for extra rebound and a lighter feel.

The 7A, 5A and 5B base models are also available with a Teardrop bead (T). The Acorn version (A) generally has a slightly slimmer neck than the equivalent Teardrop model.

The DNA Behind the Part Number

The long part number describes the stick's full construction. A pair marked FBH535TW reads as Forward Balance (FB) in Hickory (H) at 0.535" diameter with a Teardrop bead (T) in wood (W). The matching Acorn version at the same diameter would be marked FBH535AW. This product, RBH580AW, follows the same logic: Rebound Balance (RB) in Hickory (H) at 0.580" diameter with an Acorn bead (A) in wood (W).

Pitch and Weight Matching

Each pair is pitch-matched to a market-leading tolerance of max 6 Hz, roughly 0.25 of a semitone, which is essential for even-sounding rolls. Pairs are also weight-matched to a tolerance of max 1.5 grams between the two sticks.

Sustainability

Promark plants five new trees for every tree harvested for its sticks.
