16" ProMark Rebound 5A Acorn

Product Description

The ProMark Rebound 5A Acorn (RBH565N) is a pitch- and weight-matched pair of hickory drumsticks with a nylon Acorn tip, built for fast rebound and a lighter playing feel. The long, tapered neck shifts the balance point rearward, making the sticks especially suited to dynamic, detailed playing.

Rebound Balance. Lighter feel

Rebound Balance (RB) has a long, 3" tapered neck with the weight shifted rearward, giving extra rebound and a lighter feel in the hand. For comparison, Forward Balance (FB) models have a shorter 2.25" neck and are more front-weighted for extra power and durability.

Two tip shapes in the same series

The Select Balance series comes in two tip shapes: Teardrop and Acorn. The base models 7A, 5A and 5B are available in both variants. Teardrop Tip (T) and Acorn Tip (A). Acorn models generally have a slightly slimmer neck than the equivalent Teardrop model. In the full item code, Teardrop is marked T, for example FBH535TW, while Acorn is marked A, for example FBH535AW.

The stick's full code

Behind the short model name (e.g. 5A) lies a longer item code describing the stick's full build: balance type, material, diameter, tip shape and tip material. A pair coded FBH535TW is, for example, Forward Balance (FB) in Hickory (H) at 0.535" diameter with a wood (W) Tear Drop tip (T). This product, RBH565N (compare also RBH535N in the same series), is Rebound Balance (RB) in Hickory (H) at 0.565" diameter with a nylon tip (N).

Core-heavy hickory, precisely matched

The sticks measure 16" (406 mm) in length with a diameter of 0.565" (14.4 mm), corresponding to the standard 5A size. Each pair is pitch-matched within 6 Hz (roughly a quarter tone) and weight-matched within 1.5 g between the two sticks. Good matching is essential for even-feeling rolls and grooves.

Own sawmill and sustainable forestry

ProMark controls the entire manufacturing process, from its own sawmill to the finished product, ensuring consistent quality batch after batch. The company also plants five new trees for every tree harvested.
