Product Description
The Performance II from Aquarian is a two-ply tom head built for low-tuned drums with a fat, powerful sound. Thanks to Aquarian's "Vacuum Tuned Process" manufacturing method, the plies sit perfectly against each other with no air bubbles or wrinkles, giving consistent, reliable response across the whole head.
The head is made of two 7 mil plies, but unlike many other two-ply heads, the plies are only sealed at the edge. This controls unwanted overtones and shifts the focus to the low frequencies - exactly what gives toms their depth and punch.
Classic rock tone
Performance II is designed to be tuned low, and that's where it really shows what it can do. The sound becomes fat and powerful with serious punch on the toms - the kind of tone many recognize from classic rock recordings. A great choice if you like tuning down and want a sound with weight and attitude.
