The Meinl Classics Custom Dark is a 16" hi-hat with a dark, characterful sound thanks to a special heat-treatment process applied to the B10 alloy. It delivers a bright attack with clear shimmer and a fuller low end, making it a good fit for rock, metal, pop and fusion.
The cymbals are made from B10 bronze (90% copper, 10% tin) and produced with computer-controlled precision. The special heat-treatment formula gives the cymbals their dark look as well as a unique sound. Bright and shimmering with a distinct dark low end and a medium-high pitch. The extra hammering adds fullness to the low end.
Sustain is medium with a clear spark shower in the decay, and volume sits at medium with a brilliant, open character. The Dark finish gives the cymbals a striking dark look that stands out in any setup.
