16" Aquarian Jack DeJohnette - Black
Single-ply drum head with a black textured coating for a dry, focused tone. Ideal for jazz and fusion.
The Aquarian Jack DeJohnette is a 16" single-ply drum head with a distinctive black texture that shapes its dry, focused tone. The slightly thicker coating makes it especially suited to jazz and fusion, where a controlled, defined attack matters.
Jack DeJohnette's playing style and sound have become iconic, and this head is designed to deliver that same character: a focused tone without excessive overtones, and a dry attack that leaves room for nuance in your playing. The black textured surface isn't just visual. It's part of what shapes the head's sound.
Who It's For
A good choice for jazz, fusion, or any style where you want a clear, controlled tone rather than an open, resonant one. Works well if you're after consistent character without needing much extra dampening.
